In this shockingly DOCTA, Sid Yiddish contracts the enigmatic Dr. Nothing for a truly bright idea. Working as a patsy for an intelligence agency, Sid wants to know if the good doctor can shed some light on a dark problem: can he turn a common fluorescent light into a surveillance camera? Dr. Nothing, sensing a buzz of excitement (and perhaps high voltage), accepts the challenge.
The doctor gets to work, tapping into the electrical grid with a laptop and a vintage wired phone—he's really phoning in this hack! After honing the signal and locking down the current frequency, his screen flashes "SIGNAL LOCKED." The film's gassy secret is revealed as the overhead light starts transmitting video, proving this "Fluoride-Essence" was a truly en-light-ening piece of spycraft.
