Approval of Previous Minutes

Motion to approve the minutes of the March 3, 2026 meeting was made by Jason Page. Seconded by Larry. Motion passed.

Election of Officers

Jason Page served as President Pro Tem for the election of officers.

President

Nominations: Grace, Larry, Iris

Grace elected President. Grace resumed her duties.

Vice President

Grace nominated Jason Page. Jason nominated Iris.

Iris elected Vice President.

Treasurer

Grace nominated Larry.

Vote: All in favor — Aye; Larry — Nay.

Larry elected Treasurer.

Secretary

Grace nominated Jason Page. All in favor — Aye.

Jason Page elected Secretary.

Officers Elected

Finance Committee Report

• Open Studio Project contribution: $20,000
• Current budget: $15,000 (sufficient for approximately two months); transfer needed
• All other budget items remain unchanged
• Pastor Cary will continue in his role on a month-to-month basis at 1/4 time

Insurance Requirements

Nothing to report.

Preston Bradley Report

Larry reported on parking: parking will be permitted on Sundays with no towing on Sundays.

Pastoral Search Committee

Grace reported that there is a consensus that candidate Sloan is not a good fit for Peoples Church.

Discussion: The board discussed hiring Pastor Cary at 1/4 time alongside a full-time pastor for a transition period.

Motion by Grace to budget $100/month for food for Search Committee meetings. Seconded by Francisca. Motion passed.

Worship Committee

Grace has been providing books, music, and messages. Larry and Grace will be out of town in June or July; guest speakers will be needed.

Motion by Grace to budget $250/month for guest speakers. Seconded by Larry. Motion passed.

Annual Members Meeting Reflection

Grace reported the meeting went well. Members were blessed by the details of the Open Studio Project presentation and were very excited to hear about it.

Laptop Ministry

Ada Wright will assist with obtaining laptops.

Social Media Coordinator

Ada Wright presented interest in taking on the role of Social Media Coordinator (managing X/Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram). Ada noted uncertainty about content decision-making authority. Proposed rate: $22/hour.

Motion by Grace to open the position of Social Media Coordinator at $22/hour. Seconded by Jason. Motion passed.

Motion by Grace to hire Ada Wright as Social Media Coordinator. Seconded by Larry. Motion passed.

Labor Day Picnic

• Ministry table hosted by Jason for laptops, QR codes for donations to different ministries
• T-shirts priced at $20 ($25 for tie-dye); vendor: Strange Cargo (family-owned)
• Jason will research screen printing artist options
• Grace: shirts in different sizes, same color
• Jason: include Laptop Drive information at the bottom of the flyer
